Air Quality Modeling Studies
We assess the ambient concentrations that air emissions from industrial, energy, mining and other activities may produce, using appropriate dispersion models.
Emission sources, stack parameters, terrain, meteorological data and existing air quality conditions are defined in the model, and the facility’s contribution values within its area of influence are calculated. Results are interpreted against the applicable air quality and emissions legislation and project-specific acceptance criteria, providing a basis for emission reduction and monitoring measures where necessary.
Scope of service
- Definition of emission sources and stack parameters
- Input of terrain and meteorological data into the model
- Calculation of contribution values within the facility’s area of influence
- Interpretation against legislation and acceptance criteria, with mitigation recommendations
