Bat Monitoring Studies and Reporting
Bat activity, species diversity, seasonal movements and key areas of use within the project area are assessed using appropriate field methods.
Acoustic detector recordings, habitat surveys and, where necessary, targeted observations are used to establish the spatial and temporal distribution of bat activity. Particularly for wind energy projects, this provides technical data for assessing collision and barotrauma risks and for designing appropriate mitigation measures and operational-phase monitoring programs.
